Job summary

A leading swim education provider in Alexandria, VA, is looking for a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of patrons and provide emergency care. Responsibilities include monitoring the pool area, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring a clean environment. Ideal candidates will have a Red Cross Lifeguard certification and prior swim instruction experience. Competitive pay and benefits such as free swim lessons for children are offered.

Qualifications

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.
• Experience in swim instruction is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act in emergencies.
• Provide emergency care until medical services arrive.
• Ensure the pool area is clean and safe.
• Supervise in accordance with American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards.

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer.
• Previous swim instruction experience is required.
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
