Job summary

Durante Home Exteriors is seeking a Deck/Patio Project Manager to oversee residential deck projects from remeasure to final installation and payment. You will lead construction planning, coordinate crews, manage materials and schedules, and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction throughout the process.

You will communicate project expectations clearly, monitor progress, and address field challenges with proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential construction, deck building, carpentry, or construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of deck framing, structural components, footings, beams, joists, decking, and railing systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop construction drawings and material lists.
• Familiarity with residential building codes, permitting processes, and construction best practices.
• Experience managing subcontractors or installation crews.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn construction management software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential deck construction projects from initial remeasure through installation, completion, and final payment.
• Coordinate project milestones, material procurement, permitting, installation scheduling, and customer communication.
• Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and progress updates using company software platforms.
• Anticipate potential delays, identify solutions, and keep projects moving efficiently.
• Conduct on-site project remeasures to verify dimensions and install requirements.
• Develop detailed deck construction drawings and material takeoffs for each project.
• Coordinate and assign installation crews, communicate expectations, and monitor progress.
• Prepare detailed material lists and labor estimates to ensure accurate project costing.
• Serve as primary contact for homeowners and coordinate final walkthroughs and punch lists.
