Qualified candidates will perform general labor, maintain equipment safety, and complete pre-shift inspections. Weekend and overtime availability, along with a pre-employment drug screen, are required.

Rogers Group is currently seeking to fill a DECK HAND position at the TN River Sand & Gravel operation, located in Linden, TN. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

• Wages starting at $21.00/hr

Job Responsibilities

• General boat and deck hand labor.


• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and equipment.


• Report equipment problems and identify them to management; help maintain boat, dredge, and equipment.


• Complete daily inspections and equipment pre-shift report – if applicable.


• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.


• Willingness to work on the water – with full day shifts away from shore.


• Ability to perform a variety of duties, some which may include clean-up, production, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and other duties as assigned.


• Previous experience welding and cutting preferred but not required.


• Experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment – bobcat, skid steer, and haul truck a plus.


• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.


• Ability to learn quickly.


• Ability to understand basic safety and work instructions.


• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as necessary.


• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.


• Plant maintenance experience is a plus.


• Experience with aggregate operations is a plus.
