DriveTime is seeking a Finance Operations professional to manage the end-to-end debt sale process for deficiency, bankruptcy, and other eligible account sales, from setup through post-closing. The role requires coordinating with consultants, buyers, and internal teams across Treasury, Accounting, Analytics, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Product.

You will lead kickoff calls, oversee sale stages, and ensure NDA, SOC, and diligence requirements are met, while driving continuous process improvements

Job description

  • Manage the end-to-end debt sale process for deficiency, bankruptcy, and other applicable account sales from sale setup through post-closing
  • Coordinate with the Consultant, buyers, and internal Bridgecrest stakeholders across Treasury, Accounting, Analytics, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Product
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transaction process coordination and cross-functional project management
  • Oversee Sale Setup, Marketing & Announcement, Due Diligence, Bid & Closing, and Post-Closing activities
  • Lead kickoff calls and align internal stakeholders across Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Analytics, IT, Legal, and Compliance
  • Coordinate with the Consultant on sale calendar, data requests, seller questionnaires, and marketing materials
  • Partner with Analytics to provide account data and transaction history files and finalize cutoff data and sale population
  • Partner with IT on vendor FTP and distribution of sale notices and account media
  • Lead bidder due diligence and ensure completion of NDAs, SOC reports, and diligence questionnaires
  • Oversee execution of the Loan Sale Agreement and recommend buyer selection based on diligence data
  • Monitor buyer requests and post-close activities, including repurchase, media, affidavits, and remittance
  • Ensure approvals are documented according to recordkeeping and audit requirements
  • Communicate upcoming sales to internal teams and vendors
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Provide leadership to maximize team performance, individual development, and succession planning
Requirements
  • High School Degree Required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in debt sale, loss mitigation, collections, or recovery operations
  • 1+ years in a management or project leadership capacity
  • Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable debt sale compliance requirements is a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet transaction deadlines
  • Potential travel
  • Debt sale process expertise, including data and media requirements, loan sale agreements, and post-sale handling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail when managing sensitive account data, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements
  • Complex problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage time and business independently and make decisions for the betterment of DriveTime
  • Ability to work across a cross-functional team environment
  • Leadership, management, and employee-development capability
  • Ability to remain stationary at least 75% of the time
  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity to constantly operate a computer and office productivity machinery
  • Ability to frequently communicate with internal and external customers and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening required
