Job summary

Pappas Hayden Westberg & Jackson PC in Overland Park, KS seeks a Consumer Credit Servicing Representative to work directly with consumers on debt repayment strategies and account inquiries. This 8:30 am–5:00 pm, weekday role emphasizes customer service, compliance, and accurate record keeping.

You will advise on actions, negotiate settlements, arrange repayment schedules, and contact delinquent accounts by mail or phone while delivering professional service and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Three years of customer service or collection experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, active listening, and complex problemsolving skills
• Must have good computer skills and experience working in a office environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, goaloriented team environment while ensuring compliance with all company, client, state, and federal regulations
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. Strict attention to detail and the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work load
• Maintain calm demeanor when confronted with difficult situations
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer equipment and systems including MS Office
• Candidates will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to create memorable experiences.
• Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment for repayment of debts
• Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts
• Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations
• Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail or telephone, also talk with customers at payment window
• Miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering correspondence and drafting letters
• Perform skip tracing to locate assets and consumers
• Negotiate repayment with consumers by form of payment in full, settlements and/or payment arrangements and ensure a positive resolution and client satisfaction
