Job summary

Jobsitemnasa is seeking a Dean to provide leadership and build systems to support staff, schools, and the district in increasing instructional capacity and equity. The role will align delivery and professional development with the district plan and school improvement goals.

The Dean will work with the Principal Team to foster a culturally competent, racially inclusive learning environment and guide instructional methodology and professional development in line with district objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, parents and students in resolving academic and non-academic student issues in the school.
• Maintains records of any student disciplinary actions and reports in accordance with laws and policies.
• Confers with parents, teachers, support services personnel and students on discipline and problem solving.
• Provides mentoring services to students and consultation services to parents.
• Reports to administrators, teachers, school attendance staff, parents, and students on issues affecting student performance.
• Recommends appropriate programs for students to assist them with behavioral problems.
• Instructs and advises students regarding rules, safety, and respectful conduct.
• Assists in arranging for tutorial instruction related to assigned academic work.
