Job summary

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a Dean of Students (1.0 FTE) at West Middle School to support instructional leadership, student behavior management, and overall school climate. The role collaborates with the principal and assistant principal, leads non-licensed staff supervision, and coordinates testing and assessment activities, with a focus on equity and inclusive practices for all students.

Qualifications

• Current MN teacher license required.
• Enrollment in MN administrator licensure program.
• Training in equity, diversity and culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Training in authentic learning and assessment for learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist building principal and assistant principal in leadership tasks.
• Supervise non-licensed staff and coordinate testing and assessment.
• Support development and implementation of school improvement and staff development plans.
• Ensure curriculum standards are delivered and maintained.
• Maintain safe, equitable learning environment and community relations.
