Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a Dean, Lifestyle and Community Learning to lead non-credit instruction and services at the South Campus. You will oversee operations, recruitment, and supervision of faculty and staff, and collaborate with academic leaders to align programs with credit offerings.

The role requires strategic planning, program assessment, and building community partnerships to expand learning opportunities for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Six (6) years of progressive and relevant experience in a higher education or non-profit organization.
• Three (3) years of experience supervising employees.

Responsibilities

• Promotes, leads, and manages all aspects of day-to-day operations associated with community education programs and services.
• Builds collaborative relationships with other deans and faculty to align college preparation courses with academic programs.
• Develops, implements, and assesses strategies to improve the quality and effectiveness of non-credit programs and services.
• Works with credit programs and the educational outreach department to provide a seamless transition from non-credit courses to credit programs.
• Cultivates expanded revenue opportunities for the division.
• Oversees development, administration, delivery and assessment of programs and services.
• Serves as an advocate and community resource.
• Keeps up to date on trends and developments in community engagement.

Education

Master's degree

Doctoral degree in education, adult and continuing education, adult, professional and community education, educational leadership, higher education administration, business administration, organizational leadership, public administration, or a closely related field
