Job summary

Northeast Texas Community College is seeking a Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training to plan, develop, and administer non-credit education programs across the service area, reflecting community interests, needs, and expectations.

You will recruit and supervise adjunct faculty, manage budgets, coordinate schedules, work with marketing, and liaison with regulating bodies to ensure compliant, high-quality programs that expand opportunities for learners and local employers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
• Master's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
• Experience in higher education, continuing/corporate education or related field required.
• Development, coordination, and management of non-credit programs and courses is required.
• Must analyze needs, establish goals, develop curriculum, schedule classes, secure resources, and ensure successful programs.
• Must have knowledge of Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and administer continuing & corporate education programs throughout the college service area.
• Work with college constituents to align continuing education and corporate training opportunities with disciplines and needs.
• Assess needs with community leaders and advisors and respond appropriately.
• Ensure quality curriculum is developed or adopted and implemented per regulations.
• Analyze program needs, plan and schedule classes, and make course-related decisions.
• Manage a one-stop, full-service system of customer service for non-credit functions.
• Recruit, select, orient, supervise, and evaluate adjunct faculty; ensure credentials meet agency requirements.
• Provide resources and space for teaching; introduce adult learning theory and teaching practice to faculty.
• Prepare and monitor a budget; approve expenditures; align with departmental goals.
• Collaborate with marketing to publish class schedules, brochures, flyers, news releases, and ads.
• Coordinate the preparation of the Continuing Education schedule.
• Serve on committees as needed; liaison to regulating and funding agencies; maintain required records.
• Supervise the Continuing & Community Education personnel on campus and ensure office procedures and coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Workforce Education.
