Job summary

BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a Dean of Academics (K–5) to lead academic achievement, intervention systems, assessment practices, and data-driven instructional support. You will work closely with teachers, families, and school leadership to drive strong academic growth across grades K–5.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative instructional leader, skilled in analyzing data and translating it into actionable instruction, with strong coaching and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with MTSS, assessment systems, and targeted interventions.
• Strong data analysis, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Elementary teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead academic data meetings with teachers to identify trends and plan instruction.
• Oversee MTSS and intervention planning for grades K–5.
• Coach teachers in using data to inform instruction and differentiation.
• Lead MTSS and student support meetings and coordinate with families.
