Job summary

BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a Dean of Academics to provide instructional leadership for K–5, guiding data-driven interventions and MTSS across grades. The role partners with teachers, families, and leaders to ensure strong academic growth and targeted supports.

The Dean will lead data meetings, monitor progress, and translate data into actionable instructional steps while collaborating with the Dean of Students and leadership team to align academics with school priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, curriculum, administration, or related field preferred.
• Current teaching certification or credentials preferred.
• Experience with MTSS, data analysis, and instructional intervention.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate academic data meetings to identify trends and next steps for instruction.
• Monitor screening and progress data to identify students needing support or enrichment.
• Analyze state assessment data to identify strengths and gaps.
• Develop and monitor action plans to improve student achievement.
• Coordinate MTSS processes and ensure fidelity of interventions.
• Provide instructional coaching and support to teachers based on data.
