Job summary

College of The Albemarle seeks a Dean of Health Sciences and Wellness Programs to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for nursing, allied health, and related programs. The Dean reports to the Vice President of Learning and steers curriculum, accreditation, and daily operations.

This role emphasizes student success, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with healthcare providers and community partners to strengthen regional education pathways.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health sciences, education, or higher education administration.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative or supervisory experience.
• Minimum of four years of teaching or academic administration experience.
• Experience supervising personnel and managing programs, budgets, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and administrative leadership for health sciences and wellness programs.
• Lead nursing and allied health programs across multiple locations.
• Oversee curriculum development, enrollment, scheduling, budgeting, and accreditation.
• Collaborate with College leadership to advance institutional goals and workforce development.
• Build relationships with employers, clinical partners, and community organizations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and continuous program improvement.
