Job summary

Northwest Mississippi Community College (NWCC) seeks a dynamic Dean of the School of Health Sciences to lead strategic direction, fiscal stewardship, and program quality across nursing, EMS, Funeral Services, and allied health programs. The Dean reports to the VP of Instruction and partners with faculty, staff, and external organizations to advance outcomes and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

Master’s degree required in a health science discipline, healthcare administration, or higher education leadership.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive administrative or senior leadership experience in higher education or a clinical/scientific setting.
Minimum five (5) years of full-time postsecondary teaching experience in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the School of Health Sciences.
Oversee budget, staffing, and program quality across all health science pathways.
Foster partnerships with regional healthcare organizations and community partners.
Drive enrollment growth, program assessment, and licensure/certification outcomes.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
