Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an inaugural Dean of the College of Construction & Industrial Technologies (CCIT) in Phoenix. This leader will set vision, secure accreditations, and partner with industry to scale programs while integrating a Christian worldview across curricula.

The Dean will oversee academic planning, faculty recruitment, performance, and program delivery methods to advance the college’s national impact and the university’s mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required in a related field.
• Significant experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Proven leadership in industry/government/military settings.
• Ability to lead at operational and strategic levels.
• Commitment to integrating Christian faith with education.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigations.
• Support Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and strategic direction for the CCIT, including program development and long‑term growth.
• Oversee accreditation processes, academic planning, and program review to ensure quality and compliance.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty; drive performance and accountability across the college.
• Foster industry partnerships at a national level and build a scalable, high-impact pipeline for graduates.
• Manage college operations, budgeting, and resources in alignment with university goals.
• Collaborate with other university leaders to integrate faith, ethics, and professional preparation into curriculum.
