Job summary

Central Arizona College is seeking an Academic Dean to provide student-centered leadership across Nursing and Allied Health programs and related departments. The role directs program development, budgeting, and accreditation efforts while collaborating with division chairs and external partners to meet industry needs.

The position requires a Master’s degree and at least five years of higher education leadership experience, with travel within the county as a possible condition.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a related field.
• Five years of progressive higher education leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing healthcare programs in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Nursing and Allied Health programs including Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Health Information Management, Pharmacy Technician, Aesthetician, Medical Assistant, Clinical Lab Assistant, Medical Lab Technician, and Massage Therapy; EMT, Paramedic and Fire Science complete the areas of responsibility.
• Develops, implements, manages and evaluates academic programs and budgets; maintains accountability for the assigned department’s operations.
• Leads development and evaluation of new programs and ensures compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements.
• Serves as liaison with community and industry to determine needs and develops programming accordingly.
• Assists in marketing strategies to promote program recognition and growth.
• Supervises and evaluates faculty and staff; supports professional development and student-centered initiatives.
• Directs long-range strategic planning, budgeting, and facilities coordination for divisions.
