Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking an ESG transaction advisory professional in New Jersey to lead ESG due diligence for PE and corporate clients. You will integrate ESG criteria into investment processes and develop tailored strategies that create value through sustainability initiatives.

You will estimate ESG impacts on valuations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative ESG solutions for diverse client challenges.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in ESG or sustainable finance is advantageous.
• Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, sustainable finance, or transaction advisory.
• Strong knowledge of SFDR and EU Taxonomy.
• Ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESG due diligence activities in transactions for private equity and corporate clients, integrating ESG into investment processes.
• Develop and implement tailored ESG strategies to drive value Creation through sustainability initiatives.
• Estimate and quantify the impact of ESG factors on company valuations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate ESG due diligence activities in transactions for Private Equity and corporate clients, ensuring effective integration of ESG criteria into investment processes and decision-making.
• Develop and implement tailored ESG strategies for clients, including specific policies and initiatives that enhance performance and drive value creation through sustainability.
• Estimate and quantify the impact of environmental, social, and governance factors on company valuations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions addressing clients’ ESG challenges.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, Business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or certification in ESG or sustainable finance is considered an advantage.
• Proven experience in roles related to ESG, sustainability, sustainable finance, or transaction advisory.
• Strong knowledge of European sustainable finance regulations and standards, such as SFDR and the EU Taxonomy.
• Ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; additional European languages will be considered a plus.
