Job summary

Sigma Earth in the United States seeks a senior ESG reporting leader to own the annual Sustainability Reporting program, ensuring governance, milestones, and timely deliverables.

You will partner with the ESG Office, External Reporting teams, auditors, and leadership to align data, deliver executive updates, and drive continuous improvement across the reporting ecosystem, including Workiva and AuditBoard use.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong project management experience with multiple concurrent deliverables.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong written and verbal English.
  • Interest in sustainability and ESG topics with willingness to continuously learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end Sustainability Reporting annual project plan, including milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with the ESG Office to ensure consistency, alignment, and timely execution of reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with External Reporting teams to align sustainability reporting timelines and inputs with the Annual Report preparation cycle.
  • Manage end-to-end content review cycles, including approvals from Management, Legal, and Executive Vice Presidents.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations for Steering Committees, Audit Committees, ESG Committees, and leadership updates.
  • Define and communicate activities for ESG network members, providing guidance, structure, and oversight across the reporting ecosystem.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure timely data collection, validation, and reporting alignment.
  • Prepare regular status reports on project progress, timelines, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues and roadblocks where necessary.
  • Manage the design and production process for the Sustainability Statement and Expanded Sustainability Statement.
  • Support the use and optimization of ESG reporting tools such as Workiva and AuditBoard.
  • Manage the annual sustainability reporting budget, including expenses, vendor contracts, and invoice approvals.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as auditors, ESG rating agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and benchmark sustainability reporting practices against industry standards and peer organizations.
  • Participate in industry forums, business groups, and training sessions to stay updated on ESG regulations and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of sustainability reporting processes.
  • Support training and capability building for the sustainability reporting team and ESG network members.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of global ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, and CSRD.
  • Prior experience in ESG content development or reporting.
  • Experience working in Big 4 accounting or consulting firms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as French, Italian, or German are a plus.
  • Strong adaptability, pragmatism, and ability to manage multiple complex topics simultaneously.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is an advantage.
