Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking an ESG consultant to design tailored ESG strategies for international clients and assist in reporting and compliance assessments. You will support materiality, readiness reviews, and due diligence while integrating ESG risks into client strategies and operations.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, collaboration with PwC sustainability specialists, and delivering sustainable long-term value for diverse organizations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, or related field.
• Familiar with sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations such as GRI Standards, CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, SDGs, GHG accounting, and ESG risk management.
• Fluent in English; German knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and summarization skills.
• Genuine interest in ESG topics and collaboration with clients.

• Contribute to projects for international clients by helping design ESG strategies tailored to their business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of ESG reports and compliance assessments for both financial and non-financial organizations.
• Support clients in carrying out materiality assessments, readiness reviews, and due diligence processes.
• Help integrate ESG risks and considerations into clients’ business strategies, internal processes, and policies.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on creating sustainable long-term value.
• Perform data analysis to assess ESG performance and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
• Work closely with senior team members and collaborate with PwC sustainability specialists across Europe.

Who You Are

• You hold a university degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• You have at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, or a similar field.
• You are familiar with sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations such as GRI Standards, CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, SDGs, GHG accounting, and ESG risk management.
• You are fluent in English, while knowledge of German would be a strong advantage.
• You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and summarization skills.
• You have a genuine interest in environmental, social, and governance topics.
• You enjoy working collaboratively in teams and interacting with clients.
