Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a General Manager to lead the location’s day-to-day operations and profitability. The role directs all activities through department managers, ensuring staffing, planning, and execution align with company goals.

You will establish objectives, coach managers, review performance, manage budgets, and uphold regulatory compliance while maintaining strong customer relations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience operating an automotive or heavy equipment dealership is required.
• A college degree in business management is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dealership is properly staffed with qualified department leaders.
• Establish major objectives, plans and programs for daily operations.
• Assist department managers with targets, programs and plans aligned with company goals.
• Evaluate department operating results against objectives.
• Consult with managers and HR on personnel decisions.
• Set short and long-term operating and financial objectives for the location.
• Develop and manage annual and monthly business plans, sales/profit objectives and budgets.
• Supervise the direct sale of trucks, parts, service, and body repairs.
