Suburban Ford of Waterford, part of Lithia & Driveway, seeks a Dealer Trade Driver for a high-volume Ford dealership. You will support dealership operations with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and ensure traded vehicles are properly prepared and documented.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Typing – enter information accurately into tracking system.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Verify VIN and stock numbers match paperwork.
• Ensure dealer invoice copies accompany paperwork.
• Ensure traded vehicle is clean and undamaged before leaving lot.
• Notify GSM or Manager on duty if damage is found.
• Confirm that references, keys and wheel locks accompany traded vehicles.
• Inspect newly traded vehicles inside and out before delivery.
• If damage is found contact GSM/Desk Manager before leaving lot.
• Note missing items and ensure accessories accompany the vehicle.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Schedule: This position requires open availability to support dealership operations and customer demand. Successful candidates will be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are peak sales periods.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures that vehicle identification numbers and stock number of each vehicle match paperwork.
• Ensure copies of dealer invoice accompany paperwork for each vehicle.
• Ensure that the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged before leaving the lot.
• Notify GSM or Manager on duty immediately if any damage is found on vehicle being traded.
• Ensure all reference guides, keys, wheel locks etc., accompany all traded vehicles and deliver this information to the appropriate manager when trade is complete
• Newly traded vehicles must be thoroughly inspected, inside and out, before accepting delivery from dealership.
• If damage is found (i.e. scratches, door dings etc.), contact GSM or Manager on duty before leaving their lot. DO NOT return with a damaged vehicle unless you have notified the GSM or Desk Manager.
• Note any missing keys, books, wheel locks, floor mats, etc. Make every effort to ensure these items accompany the appropriate vehicle. Always make sure accessories that are listed are in fact on the vehicle.
• Other duties as required.
