Job summary

Avispa Technology in Newark, NJ is seeking a Deal Operations Coordinator to support contract execution, contract data management, deal implementation, and partner onboarding. This is a 9-month onsite assignment under a W2 arrangement.

The role involves collaboration with Legal, Content Acquisition & Development, Content Operations, and Finance to manage contracts, update trackers, and ensure accurate data across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Experience in entertainment, digital media, or publishing and/or with contracts or IP licensing preferred.
• Working knowledge of database concepts and best practices preferred.
• Experience with SQL queries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate contract execution with Legal, Content Acquisition & Development, and Content Operations teams.
• Enter terms into the contract database and update internal trackers.
• Identify downstream impacts of new contracts and changes across systems and teams.
• Onboard new partners to financial and tax systems with Finance, and support payments and reviews.
• Provide reporting and ad hoc research to support operational activities.

• 40 hours/week, 9 Month Assignment

A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking a Deal Operations Coordinator to support contract execution, contract data management, deal implementation, and partner onboarding.

Deal Operations Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Work with Legal, Content Acquisition & Development, and Content Operations teams to facilitate contract execution and support deal implementation, entering terms in the contract database and updating internal trackers.
• Identify downstream impacts of new contracts and contract changes at the deal, title, and payment level across systems and teams, follow established processes and escalation paths, and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Finance to onboard new partners to financial and tax systems, request upfront and milestone payments, update trackers, and support monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure changes are implemented consistently and correctly.
• Conduct ad hoc research and analysis, respond to inquiries and trouble tickets, and provide reporting to support departmental operational activities.
• Provide general operational support to the deal, production, and localization operations team, and participate in data clean-up projects to ensure the completeness and accuracy of contract data.

Deal Operations Coordinator Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
