Job summary
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for a Lebanon, TN school setting. You will empower students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through specialized instruction, collaboration, and support that drives academic success, communication growth, and independence.

Qualifications
- Active Tennessee educator license with a Special Education: Hearing PreK-12 endorsement.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with federal/state regulations.
- Conduct assessments and use data to guide decisions.
- Support development of communication skills (spoken language, sign language, total communication).
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and strategies.
- Work with audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
- Provide training and support to staff on hearing loss and accommodations.
- Monitor assistive listening devices and hearing technology.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress.
- Maintain documentation and IDEA/district policy compliance.
