Advanced Employment Group is seeking an Employment Specialist to help Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals find meaningful employment. You will assess needs, coordinate job search activities, and collaborate with local employers to promote accessible workplaces.

The role requires bilingual English/ASL, strong communication, and ability to travel statewide. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and a valid driver's license with reliable internet at home are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Bilingual in English and ASL; certification not required.
• Experience with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Background screening and drug testing required.
• Willingness to travel statewide and use personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Must have home computer/tablet with reliable internet.

Responsabilités

• Assess clients' skills, goals, and develop personalized employment plans.
• Provide resume writing, job searching, and interview coaching.
• Build relationships with local employers and agencies.
• Advocate for accessibility accommodations in workplaces.
• Offer training on communication, workplace etiquette, and tech use.
• Provide follow-up support after placement; assist with adjustments and career growth.
• Document progress and report program outcomes.
