Qualifications

  • Background clearance (DOJ/FBI or equivalent) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals.
  • Maintain safe, supportive classroom environment and manage behavior.
  • Monitor progress and communicate with families; prepare progress reports.
  • Use total communication and/or auditory-oral approaches as required by IEP.
  • Provide instruction using ASL, SEE, and other modalities.
  • Support use of hearing aids, FM systems, and cochlear processors as directed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, families, and school leaders.

Appropriate Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe authorization may also be required depending on the assignment.Experience: Previous experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is preferred.
