Job summary

Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment (HAVE) seeks a dedicated DDA RN to provide nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities in Easton, MD. You will oversee health plans, coordinate with care teams, and ensure safe, compliant healthcare delivery.

You will train DSPs, conduct health screenings, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding Maryland DDA regulations and COMAR standards. This role emphasizes advocacy and patient-centered care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train and mentor direct care staff on health and safety protocols.
• Active RN license required in Maryland.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or to be obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans in line with Maryland DDA regulations.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and document clinical findings.
• Train and supervise DSPs on health-related protocols and procedures.
• Perform routine health screenings and follow-up appointments.
• Ensure compliance with Maryland DDA policies, COMAR healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to individuals with developmental disabilities (DDA population)
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans in compliance with DDA regulations
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and document clinical findings accurately
• Train and supervise direct support professionals (DSPs) on health-related protocols and procedures
• Conduct routine health screenings, wellness checks, and follow-up appointments
• Ensure compliance with Maryland DDA policies, COMAR regulations, and agency standards

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred
• Knowledge of Maryland DDA regulations and COMAR healthcare standards
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to train and mentor direct care staff on health and safety protocols
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
