Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks a Process Control Engineer to provide technical support and leadership for the refinery's Foxboro control systems and to support Honeywell Experion PKS systems.

The role includes maintaining and improving regulatory and advanced control strategies, supporting system hardware and software reliability, and working with Operations and Engineering to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related) or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Control Engineering.
• Experience with Foxboro, Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Foxboro and Honeywell control systems (config, logic, graphics, databases).
• Monitor control system performance and diagnostics for reliability.
• Tune and optimize control loops.
• Provide support for PLC and SIS interfaces.
• Support capital and maintenance projects involving control systems.
• Assist with Management of Change processes for control systems.
• Prepare functional specs and assist testing, commissioning, and startup.
• Review contractor proposals for accuracy and standards.
• Perform system maintenance and upgrades of hardware/software.
• Maintain backups and cybersecurity-aligned configurations.
• Support system migrations and network upgrades.
• Provide daily operations support for control issue troubleshooting.
• Assist with alarm management improvements and graphics updates.
