Job summary

Honeywell is seeking an Automation/Instrumentation professional to program and maintain control systems for refinery operations. You will act as SME, guiding the modernization from Honeywell DCS to Experion during live plant operations while ensuring safety and minimal downtime.

The role requires collaboration with Instrumentation Technicians to troubleshoot field issues, tune control loops, and support console operators. Location includes Detroit, MI and travel to US sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field (foreign degree accepted).
5+ years in Automation/Instrumentation/System Engineering roles.
Experience with Honeywell DCS upgrades and migration projects.

Responsibilities

Program and maintain control systems to support refinery operations.
Serve as SME and guide modernization from Honeywell DCS to Experion during live plant ops.
Ensure safe, uninterrupted plant operations during upgrade and migration.
Troubleshoot field issues with Instrumentation Technicians; tune control loops; support operators.
