Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a DCIM Engineer I to manage EPMS and BMS within our data centers. You will handle system administration for EPMS, BMS, and SCADA, support design and upgrades, and work with contractors.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, 1+ year of experience with critical facilities, and knowledge of BAS/BMS systems, with willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience with critical monitoring and control systems for facilities.
• Knowledge of BMS and EPMS systems.
• Familiarity with chilled water plants, CRAH units, and data center power distribution.
• Up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DCIM systems operate as designed to protect the data center and provide alarms and reports.
• Configure DCIM applications for new deployments and retrofits.
• Maintain DCIM documentation, test plans, and change records.
• Implement policies to maximize performance of systems and networks.
• Administer power provisioning, incident management, and reporting for sites.
• Coordinate field work and supervise contractors when required.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site staff on projects.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of facility systems.
• Participate in on-call duty and provide off-hour support.
