Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking a DCIM Engineer II to manage EPMS and BMS across data centers. You will support design, configuration, and commissioning of DCIM systems, coordinate with field teams, and ensure high reliability of power and cooling infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in critical facilities, BMS/EPMS experience, and knowledge of BACnet/Modbus, SQL and networking. Travel up to 25% and lifting up to 40 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with critical monitoring and control systems for facilities.
• Working knowledge of BMS/EPMS systems and data center operations.
• Familiarity with cooling plants, CRAH units, and power distribution in data centers.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and lift 40 pounds.
• US Citizenship required by law for federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure DCIM systems operate as designed to protect data centers and report alarms.
• Configure DCIM applications for new deployments and retrofits.
• Prepare and maintain DCIM support docs, test plans, and change records.
• Implement policies and standards to maximize system performance.
• Administer power provisioning, incident management, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate field work and supervise contractors as needed.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and support day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, project managers, and contractors on projects.
• Assist in testing and commissioning facility systems.
• Participate in on-call and provide off-hour support.
