Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a DC Operations Manager responsible for leading WMS performance and RF networks within a distribution center. You will collaborate with IT and DC teams to ensure efficient merchandise flow, manage budgets, and supervise both hourly and salaried staff.

The role requires 4+ years in WMS configuration, distribution environment experience, and 4+ years of managerial experience. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential.

• Possess the desire and ability to quickly achieve and maintain a thorough understanding of Academy’s WMS.
• Possess working knowledge of all systems used within the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between IT and DC personnel.
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain WMS/RF network performance.
• Analyze and adjust WMS strategies with DC Operations for efficient flow of merchandise.
• Justify DC hardware or software change requests to facility Director of Distribution.
• Maintain PC hardware; manage department budgets and staff performance.
• Identify cost-effective solutions to operational challenges.
• May temporarily fulfill DC Operations Manager role as needed.
