Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a DC Designated Trainer to lead new hire training and on-the-job coaching within our distribution center. You will conduct training sessions, ensure adherence to safety policies, and support colleagues across departments to maintain high training standards.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to operate forklifts, and self-motivation. You’ll work with the Department Manager/Supervisor to schedule training, assess progress, and promote a Culture of

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and conduct office and on the job training sessions.
• Work with the Department Manager/Supervisor to determine training schedule and conduct weekly assessments.
• Knowledge of WMS applications or ability to learn to complete tasks and fulfill alternate roles.
• Communicate training progress to Sr. Department Leads and Management and make recommendations on trainees’ placement.
• Willingness to participate in continued education on train the trainer classes or workshops, serve on the Safety Committee, and participate in incident reviews.
• Be a positive example and role model for driving a Culture of Safety First.
• Become a mentor to the team by being available to answer questions and issues.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate forklift and other powered equipment essential to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
