Job summary

At Home is seeking a Distribution Center Trainer to lead hands-on training for new hires and current staff in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will teach safety protocols, performance expectations, and standard operating procedures, across receiving, sorting, and loading activities.

The role emphasizes coaching, development, and adherence to safety standards while supporting daily operations. You will also train colleagues on automated handling systems and driverless equipment,

Qualifications

• 1+ years warehousing or training experience.
• Ability to learn and train on various tasks required in a DC environment.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, or team leadership strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of SOPs, and safety standards.
• Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English - Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and solutions-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-the-job training for new hires and existing team members, tailoring approaches to learning styles.
• Support daily operational flow by working across all DC functions and modeling best practices.
• Execute core warehouse functions including receiving, sorting, and loading.
• Provide direction and support by prioritizing tasks set by leads or managers.
• Coach for performance and development with actionable feedback.
• Handle administrative tasks like printing and organizing learning materials and tracking sign-offs.
• Conduct safety and behavioral observation walks and promote a safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
• Train and coach on automated material handling systems and AGVs/AMRs.
