Job description

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master to spearhead our Data Center to Cloud migration strategy. Lead cross-functional teams through sophisticated cloud transformation projects encompassing Rehost, Re-platform, Rewrite, and Purchase methodologies

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) for cloud migration teams
  • Remove impediments and blockers that hinder team progress across multiple migration workstreams
  • Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices specific to cloud transformation
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across cross-functional teams
Cloud Migration Strategy Management
  • Rehost (Lift & Shift): Coordinate teams migrating applications with minimal changes to cloud infrastructure
  • Replatform: Manage sprints focused on optimizing applications during migration with minor modifications
  • Rewrite/Refactor: Facilitate development teams rebuilding applications using cloud‑native architectures
  • Purchase: Coordinate evaluation, procurement, and implementation of SaaS/commercial solutions replacing legacy systems
Project Coordination & Delivery
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs for multiple migration streams
  • Track and report on sprint velocity, burndown charts, and migration progress metrics
  • Coordinate dependencies between teams working on interconnected systems
  • Ensure alignment with overall cloud migration roadmap and timelines
  • Manage risks and issues specific to cloud transformation initiatives
Stakeholder Management
  • Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders
  • Facilitate decision‑making sessions for migration strategy selection (6Rs framework)
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Application teams
  • Bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Certifications & Education
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
Experience
  • 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in technology environments
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud migration or transformation projects
  • Experience with DC to Cloud migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Rewrite, Purchase)
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of cloud architecture patterns and migration methodologies
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with cloud migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, CloudEndure)
  • Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Scrum framework and Agile methodologies
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Leadership: Servant leadership mindset with ability to influence without authority
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast‑paced, changing environments
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse, cross‑functional teams
  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government)
  • PMP or other project management certifications
