Job summary

Mattress Firm Inc. in South Portland, Maine, is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the efficient day-to-day operations of the distribution center. You will supervise the DC team and help meet financial objectives while upholding safety policies and company standards.

Responsibilities include leading regular team meetings, coaching staff, ensuring payroll accuracy, cycle counts, onboarding, training, and maintaining world-class service for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage DC team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily distribution center operations to meet financial targets.
• Lead and coach DC team with regular one-on-one meetings.
• Enforce safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure accurate payroll verification and cycle counts.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
