Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Manager Distribution Center Operations for the 2nd shift to lead daily DC activities, optimize processes, and drive safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, mentor supervisors and staff, and implement lean improvements, ensuring high service levels and cost control across the distribution network.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in distribution center or warehouse operations, with 3+ years in management or supervision.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
Proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

Direct all distribution center activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure OSHA compliance and promote safety culture.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and warehouse staff.
Manage staffing levels and scheduling to meet operational demands.
Analyze workflows and implement process improvements.
