Job summary

adidas in Indianapolis seeks a Lead, DC Operations - Forward Pick to drive labour allocation and lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates within the Supply Chain & Sourcing group. You will coach, monitor workflows, and champion safety and process improvements on a fast-paced distribution floor.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, experience in DC operations, and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and WMS concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a large group of co-workers.
• Positive and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong knowledge of DC operations, including storage methods and material flow.
• Performance and metrics driven mindset.
• Excel, Outlook, Word and working knowledge of WMS principles.
• Ability to develop and share best practices.
• Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day.
• Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
• Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operation Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates.
• Utilize warehouse tools, including RF guns and computer kiosks, to update transactions in the WMS and LM.
• Follow all SOPs and model best practices.
• Train and coach associates to achieve operational goals and service levels.
• Mentor teammates to prepare for future career opportunities.
• Foster a positive team environment and encourage feedback to improve processes.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment and report safety concerns.
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
