Job summary

ALO is seeking a Site Director, DC to lead a high-volume E‑commerce fulfillment center. You will oversee inbound to outbound operations, drive safety, and ensure on-time shipments in a fast-paced environment.

The role demands strategic leadership, Lean/Six Sigma principles, and cross-functional collaboration with IT, finance, and 3PL partners to optimize cost, speed, and service.

You will own the site budget, manage capacity planning, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of operations leadership experience in e-commerce, omnichannel, or high-volume fulfillment.
• Proven experience managing large, multi-shift teams in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and KPI management skills.
• Experience leading automation, technology, and change initiatives.
• Financial acumen with site-level P&L or budget ownership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and execution focus.
• Working Conditions include extended hours and peak-season demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead fulfillment center operations from inbound receiving to outbound shipping, returns, and reverse logistics.
• Deliver same-day and next-day fulfillment and peak-season readiness.
• Ensure high order accuracy, fast cycle times, and consistent customer experience across channels.
• Own peak planning, labor forecasting, flexible staffing, and capacity planning to meet demand volatility.
• Develop contingency plans for demand spikes or system outages.
• Build and lead a high-performing leadership team in a 24/7 or extended-hours environment.
• Drive safety culture and OSHA compliance.
• Oversee performance of WMS, OMS, TMS, labor management, and fulfillment technologies; lead automation initiatives.
• Partner with IT and engineering to improve system reliability and throughput.
• Analyze fulfillment KPIs and drive continuous improvement and root-cause action.
