Job summary

Ross Stores in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee production and distribution functions for the assigned area. You will manage and train DC supervisors to meet production requirements and execute plans that optimize turn time and accuracy.

The role requires building an engaging, issue-free associate relations environment, coaching staff to reach productivity goals, and coordinating with senior DC leadership on planning, staffing, safety, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communications skills (both oral and written).
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years management experience in a similar retail production/distribution environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff to ensure timely and accurate distribution of merchandise to stores.
• Establish area objectives and coach Area Supervisors to reach productivity goals.
• Provide operational guidance in organizing and prioritizing daily work and staffing needs to meet production goals.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to keep Area Supervisors informed of priorities and to maintain open communication.
• Oversee administration of associate performance evaluations and daily paperwork (time and production records).
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and coordinate with senior DC leadership on production planning and staffing.
