Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC, a leading HVACR distributor, is seeking a DC Material Handler I in Joliet, IL. The role focuses on receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately and efficiently, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and proper label application.

The position requires basic forklift and RF scanner use, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse. Training is provided, and a strong team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive product by unloading trucks and inspect for damage against packing lists.
• Verify quantity and condition; complete paperwork for discrepancies.
• Scan barcodes and print labels; resolve labeling discrepancies.
• Stock replenishment and inventory control in reserve and will-call areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare shipments; ensure packaging minimizes damage.
• Document hazardous materials shipments and maintain required certifications.
• Follow safety rules, operate within SOPs, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers; support other duties as needed.
