Olsten Staffing is hiring a Distribution Center Material Handler in Florence, SC. The role involves receiving, storing, moving, staging, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and following safety procedures.

Shift is 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with weekends as needed. You will operate forklifts and scanners, perform counts, and ensure 5S standards are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0–1 year of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Forklift/material-handling equipment experience preferred.
• Experience using scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely perform physical warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
• Verify shipments against Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and tuggers.
• Scan and store materials in designated locations.
• Load and unload trailers safely.
• Prepare and ship materials according to company standards.
• Stage materials accurately for shipment.

• Consolidate materials into crates as required.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S standards.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and CT-PAT procedures.
• Complete required shipping and receiving documentation.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals to join a busy Distribution Center. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, moving, staging, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and following all safety procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and shipments

• Verify shipments against Bills of Lading (BOL)

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and tuggers

• Scan and store materials in designated locations

• Load and unload trailers safely

• Prepare and ship materials according to company standards

• Stage materials accurately for shipment

• Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies

• Consolidate materials into crates as required

• Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S standards

• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and CT-PAT procedures

• Complete required shipping and receiving documentation

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
