Job summary

Planned Companies – Security is seeking Private Security Guards for part-time shifts in Washington, DC, Friday 3pm-11pm and Saturday 7am-3pm. Pay rate is 20.50 per hour. A valid DC security guard license and SORA (NJ) license with a clean driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities include patrols, access verification, CCTV monitoring, and responding to alarms. Candidates must have 2+ years of security experience and knowledge of applicable laws and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• NJ SORA license and valid driver’s license.
• 2+ years of security experience.
• Knowledge of security laws and safety guidelines.
• Proficient CCTV surveillance skills.
• High school diploma required.
• DC security guard license required.

Responsibilities

• Routine security & safety patrol of property and structures to ensure order and establish a security presence.
• Verify and track access credentials of residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries to the property.
• Ensure all exits, doors, and windows are secure and functioning.
• Monitor and track surveillance cameras (CCTV) to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Respond to, investigate, and assess notifications, communications, and alarms.
• Provide security related assistance and support to residents, guests and vendors in need.
• Report uninvited guests, suspicious possessions, and all unlawful acts to the proper authorities.
• Create and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
