Job summary

The Container Store Inc. in Aberdeen, MD is seeking an Inventory Control professional for our Distribution Center.

This full-time hourly role focuses on inventory accuracy and cycle counts, with duties including audits, damage processing, and coordinating with buyers to ensure stock integrity. The position requires the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, meet daily/weekly cycle counts, and maintain strict confidentiality around company and customer information.

Qualifications

• Experience in Inventory Control field, preferred; retail experience a plus.
• Experience with operating Cherry Picker/ Order Picker.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Leads inventory accuracy through audits and observations.
• Directs product removal through damage process.
• Performs daily cycle counts and quality control checks.
• Assists with product movement by operating equipment as needed.
• Maintains department metrics.
• Helps manage out of stocks and back to stock process.
• Contributes to a clean and safe Distribution Center.
• Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information.
