Job summary

The Container Store is seeking a Distribution Inventory Control – Off Desk team member in our Aberdeen, MD distribution center. This full-time, hourly role centers on maintaining inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and coordination with the DC team.

You will operate equipment as needed, support damage processing, and help monitor stock levels. We offer pay from $20 to $21 per hour, plus comprehensive health plans, a 401(k) plan, and PTO to help you stay secure.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control; retail experience a plus.
• Experience with Cherry Picker / Order Picker operations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Able to prioritize mission-critical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory accuracy through audits and observations.
• Directs product removal through damage process.
• Performs daily cycle counts and quality control checks.
• Maintains department metrics.
• Helps manage out of stocks and back to stock process.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Contributes to a clean and safe Distribution Center.
• Communicate with the Inventory Store Support department regarding any inventory issues.
