Job summary

The Container Store in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Distribution Inventory Control associate to help manage inventory in the Distribution Center. You will drive process accuracy through daily audits and team collaboration, ensuring all items are accurately counted and tracked.

This full-time, hourly role runs Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. The position offers competitive pay starting at $19.00 per hour up to $20.00, robust health benefits, a 401(k), and additional PTO and life insurance

Qualifications

• Experience in Warehouse Inventory Control, preferably in retail.
• Able to operate Order (Cherry) Picker.
• Based in Aberdeen Maryland area.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic.
• Clear written and verbal communication at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Flexible, with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

What Will You Be Doing?

The Distribution Inventory Control position is responsible for helping to manage the inventory in the Distribution Center. This position drives the process accuracy through conversation and operations that help to identify Distribution Center needs. This position communicates to the entire Distribution Center team that they are all responsible for inventory accuracy.

This is a fulltime, hourly, non-exempt position.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

• Leads inventory accuracy through audits and observations

Qualifications

What You Bring To Us

• Experience in Warehouse Inventory Control field, preferred; retail experience a plus
• Be able to operate Order (Cherry) Picker.
• Based in Aberdeen Maryland area
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Able to perform basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
• Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
• Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
• Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
