Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring for our 2027 Distribution Center HR Summer Internship in Hagerstown, MD. This onsite, 11-week program begins in May 2027 and offers hands-on experience in HR within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Interns will work with HR and Operations leaders on policies, recruiting, onboarding, training, data, and safety, gaining exposure to the Team Member lifecycle and opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and potential full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master's in HR, business, management, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Distribution Center environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to relocate to Hagerstown, MD for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support HR policies and ensure compliant employment practices.
• Partner with HR leaders to assist Team Members and address questions.
• Analyze workforce data and interview feedback to identify trends.
• Assist recruiting for hourly and technical roles, including screening.
• Coordinate and facilitate training and onboarding for DC Team Members.
• Support safety initiatives and investigations with HR/Operations.
• Contribute to HR projects and process improvements.
