Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader to serve as the DC Operations Supervisor's right hand. You will lead team members, coordinate workflow, and ensure merchandise is processed and shipped safely and on time.

You will train new hires and uphold a culture of safety, while also assisting with material handling when not training. The role requires leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to supervise in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Leadership experience with or without direct report responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills.
• Experience in distribution center operations or warehouse work.
• High school diploma, GED or some high school.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assign associates to specific job functions according to production needs.
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on all department roles and tasks.
• Be a role model leader; act with integrity, responsibility, and ownership.
• Coach, develop and train associates; provide training and cross-training.
• Communicate information to department associates in the absence of the DC Supervisor.
• Maintain awareness of production, quality, safety, and behavior to provide feedback.
