Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Continuous Improvement Leader for the Distribution Center in the United States. The role partners with DC leadership to drive end-to-end improvements, applying LEAN methods and WPS/DMS adoption.

You will lead CI efforts, standardize processes, and deliver sustained gains through disciplined problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes safety, quality, service and cost improvements, with a focus on building team capability and engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year experience in collaborating/leading team projects OR High School/GED and at least 4 years’ experience in collaborating/leading team projects OR High School/GED and United States Armed Forces or equivalent experience demonstrating leadership skills.
• At least 1 year of experience assisting management with the assignment of work and responsibilities to coworkers, and/or other managerial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of Team Members in a designated functional area in the Distribution Center; monitors productivity and quality; manages performance.
• Mentors team members through on-the-job training; conducts training sessions and contributes to curricula.
• Promotes safety and ensures compliance with SOPs; supports continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN) to reduce waste.
• Establishes morale and engagement; maintains communication between cross-functional teams; analyzes performance reports and KPIs.
• Aids in staffing, budget considerations, and administrative tasks to meet business objectives.
