Job summary

Meta (through TEKsystems) seeks a Construction Manager - Owner's Rep to lead data center construction in DeKalb, IL. You will oversee field operations, coordinate with GC and vendors, and drive on-site activities to deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget.

The role demands strong leadership, safety oversight, and meticulous documentation across multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on critical facility requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of construction management experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience in data center, critical facility, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience overseeing GC and external vendors.
• Proficiency in project documentation, QA, and reporting.
• Strong skills in cost tracking, scheduling, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with operations personnel and resources for projects.
• Oversee project from inception through closeout.
• Review contractor plans, bids and procurement processes.
• Manage scope of work, proposals, and vendor selections.
• Monitor status, schedule, cost, safety, and change management.
• Maintain relationships with internal teams, designers, consultants, and GC.
• Lead GC/contractor meetings and coordinate site activities.
• Ensure site safety and IFE compliance through project walks.
