Job summary

GBA in Chicago is seeking an experienced Data Center Owner’s Representative to lead large-scale projects from site selection through turnover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and alignment with enterprise operational readiness.

You will coordinate Owners, A&E firms, general contractors, and operations teams, overseeing MEP/civil systems, QA/QC, safety, commissioning, and documentation, including as-built and O&M manuals. Travel regionally/nationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline; certifications strongly preferred.
• 7–10+ years managing large-scale construction projects, 5+ years in mission-critical/data center environments.
• Experience overseeing projects $100M+ in value with fast-track delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Owner representative from design to turnover; advocate for Owner’s interests.
• Lead Owner-side meetings, reviews, and align execution with business objectives.
• Review design, coordinate with A&E, validate constructability, and manage procurement input.
• Oversee contractor performance, submittals, RFIs, changes, and schedule tracking.
• Monitor safety, QAQC, commissioning, and turnover documentation.
