Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Manager, Distribution Centers, Center of Excellence to lead the DC CoE program. You will govern SOPs, deploy standards, and drive continuous improvement across 15 regional DCs in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, coordinating with DC Operations and cross-functional experts.

The role emphasizes governance, measurable implementation, and scalable SOP execution while expanding standardization and knowledge transfer across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities of a group of employees. Assigns, monitors and reviews progress and accuracy of work, directs efforts and provides guidance on complex issues. Oversees hiring, firing, and performance reviews.
• Provides management to the team to meet objectives, improve processes and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Interacts and collaborates with peers within and outside of the department, potentially leading a cross-functional project.
• Assumes responsibility for diverse issues requiring evaluation of multiple factors and current business trends.
• Provides guidance to staff within established policies and develops procedures affecting the area.
• Outlines objectives and processes focused on innovative solutions to business problems.
• Develops and submits ideas supporting innovative goals; implements processes or changes to achieve objectives.
• Manages, develops and controls departmental expenditures against the budget.
• Mentors staff through onboarding, training and performance management; maintains morale and diversity.
